Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 secs. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meters at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, by beating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in every event.
