Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in her respective events.
